Terms of Service

1. The Services

TamperCheck provides automated analysis of documents you submit to detect tampering, fraud indicators, and related signals. Output may include scores, labels, and explanatory text. The Services are assistive tools—not legal, compliance, or investigative determinations on their own. You remain responsible for how you use the output.

2. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding API keys, passwords, and session credentials. API keys grant programmatic access to your account: treat them as secrets. Notify us promptly if you suspect compromise.

3. Sensitive data and your obligations

You may upload documents that contain personal, financial, health, or other regulated data. You represent that you have all rights and lawful bases necessary to submit that data for processing. You will comply with applicable privacy and security laws (including, where relevant, obtaining consent and honoring data-subject requests).

You will not use the Services to violate law, infringe rights, or process data you are not authorized to process. You are responsible for your own data retention, access controls, and downstream use of TamperCheck outputs.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without authorization;
• Attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours;
• Circumvent rate limits, billing, or technical restrictions, or overload the Services;
• Upload malware, unlawful content, or content intended to harm others or systems;
• Resell or redistribute the Services in a way that misrepresents TamperCheck or violates law;
• Use the output to harass, discriminate, or defraud.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Services or other customers.

5. Fees, credits, and payment

Paid features, per-document fees, prepaid balances, and promotional credits are described on our pricing page and in checkout flows. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay may result in suspension. Unless required by law, prepaid balances and promotional credits may be non-refundable.

6. Third parties and AI providers

The Services may rely on identity providers, payment processors, hosting providers, and AI model providers. Their terms and policies may apply to you in addition to these Terms.

Bring your own key (BYOK). You may optionally connect your own credentials for a supported AI provider. When you do, your use of that provider is subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy. TamperCheck stores your credentials solely to perform the analysis you request and does not share them with third parties beyond routing requests to your chosen provider.

Using TamperCheck without your own key. You may also use the Services without providing provider credentials. In that case, TamperCheck routes analysis through its own managed provider configuration. New accounts receive trial credits; further use requires topping up your wallet.

7. Intellectual property

TamperCheck and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, software, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your internal business purposes. You retain your rights in documents and data you upload; you grant us permission to process them solely to provide the Services.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS" AND “AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ANALYSIS MAY PRODUCE FALSE POSITIVES OR FALSE NEGATIVES; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALIDATING RESULTS IN YOUR CONTEXT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAMPERCHECK AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TAMPERCHECK FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED SINGAPORE DOLLARS (SGD 100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify TamperCheck against third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, your documents or data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, non-payment, or as required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, except where prohibited by applicable law. For enterprise customers, we may specify a different dispute-resolution forum in a separate written agreement.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
