What counts as one document?

One check covers up to 6 pages. A 1-6 page PDF is 1 check, a 7-12 page PDF is 2, and any single image is 1. You never pay per field, per finding, or per seat.

What exactly am I paying for, and is there anything on top of $0.50?

Two lines on your bill: $0.50 per document, plus AI reasoning at cost. The reasoning charge is usually a few cents, and it is itemised on every result and in your billing ledger. The dashboard, API, and team seats are $0.

How does the first top-up match work?

Accepted Answer

Add credit to your wallet and we match your first top-up with free credits, so you start with double the balance to check documents with. There is nothing to apply and no code to enter.

Do I need to commit to anything?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no seats, contracts, or minimum spend. You add credit when you need it, and you spend it only on the documents you check. Purchased credit doesn't expire.

What happens when my balance runs out?

We email your account owners and admins when your balance drops below $2.00. If it goes negative, API analysis pauses until you top up. Turn on auto top-up and your saved card is charged automatically (minimum $5) whenever your balance falls below a threshold you choose, so checks never stall.

Am I charged if a check fails?

Accepted Answer

No. Failed checks aren't billed. If something goes wrong on our side, such as the AI service being temporarily unavailable, the response says so and the document is not charged. Retry whenever you like.

Can I see where my credit went?

Yes. Every result shows its own usage, and your billing ledger lists each top-up, charge, and bonus. Weekly and monthly usage summaries can be emailed to you, and your whole team draws from one shared wallet.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Cards, processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Enterprise customers are billed on an annual contract.

Those tools charge you for being able to check, whether or not you do. We charge only for the checks you run. Quiet month, small bill. Busy month, you pay for exactly that volume. Nobody needs a seat to see a result.

A dedicated instance in the region you choose, running on your own AI accounts, plus SSO (SAML and OpenID Connect), dedicated support with an escalation matrix, and volume pricing quoted annually. Dashboard, API, and seats are included. We typically respond within one business day.

How fast is a result?

Most documents return an AUTHENTIC or TAMPERED verdict in about a minute, with the altered field named. Larger multi-page PDFs can take a little longer.

Yes. Upload documents straight from the dashboard at the same $0.50 per document, then bring in the API once you have seen the verdicts. You can also read a sample report first.

Why don't you check deepfake and tampered documents together?

Tampered and deepfake detection are different problems that need different strategies. As part of the standard 200+ checks, we already flag AI-generated content inside an otherwise real document. But a fully synthetic deepfake document or image has no original to compare against, so it needs its own, more complex detection pass built specifically for generative-AI signatures.

It looks for edited numbers, mismatched fonts, unusual metadata, inconsistent templates, altered seals and signatures, digital-signature certificates that fail trust checks, and signs of AI-generated content. If something looks wrong, you get a plain-English explanation of what it found and exactly where.

Are submitted documents stored?

No. TamperCheck processes each document in memory and discards it immediately after the check. Documents are never stored, archived, or used to train our models.
